Douglas Boylan, M.D.

With more than a decade of experience in orthopedics, Dr. Douglas Boylan specializes in sports medicine injuries of the shoulder and knee and is board certified in orthopedic surgery. Graduate of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, he completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Utah.

He holds professional memberships in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Bucks County Medical Society. Additionally, he has led numerous community lectures on treatments for the knees and shoulders and for the prevention and treatment of sports-related injuries. He has also conducted research on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and presented on the topic at various professional conferences. Dr. Boylan also cared for 2002 Winter Olympics athletes as an orthopedic volunteer in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dr. Boylan’s patients have access to all the latest technology and advances with arthroscopic surgery for the shoulders and knees as well as joint replacement and fracture care to recover from injuries.

Dr. Boylan has also served as a board member for the Doylestown YMCA and is a team physician for the Central Bucks School District. He enjoys community involvement in local high school and area sporting events.
